Vitality is the key to not only surviving but thriving in the Aquarian Age.

Yogi Bhajan loved the word VITALITY. He said “Vitality is the key to not only surviving but thriving in the Aquarian Age.” Often when we think of vitality we think of young people, the ones with endless energy that we can’t keep up with. I think 50 years ago this was the case, young people had vitality and old people were not expected to have it.

Things have changed dramatically in the last 20 years. Being young now does not mean you are vital. I meet more young people and children who should according to their age be in the peak of their vitality and instead they are burnt out, stressed out, and have brain fog like older people. I have also gotten to witnessing my mother get more vital with her age. This all has me realizing that vitality has nothing to do with age, but with lifestyle.

Yogi Bhajan saw the future. He saw that the age of technology would bring us blessings and huge challenges. He saw the mental fatigue that would cause our world to become heavily medicated in order to survive. That is why he left a lifestyle that would not just allow us to survive but to thrive!

Vitality is the key to not only surviving but thriving in the Aquarian Age. As yogis, we have the tools to energize, balance and strengthen our nervous and glandular systems so that we can respond to life with consciousness—not react to life from fear.
— Yogi Bhajan

One of the medicines we can use to keep our bodies in balance and vital is to eat as many leafy greens are possible! Food is medicine and greens are one of the super power medicine our bodies need in this over stimulating toxic world. They are the king of alkalization. Greens can change our chemistry and effect our nervous system. Greens supports four out of the five life forces; nutrition, oxygenation, alkalization, and detoxification.

When we look at our whole life and see the web that connects all elements, from the food we eat, to the way we wake up and go to sleep and everything in between, we begin to live consciously. It takes some rearranging of the way we look at our life, but with a little time and practice it becomes natural and simply becomes the way we live. The transition can take effort and time, so be patience with yourself. If you fall off the vitality path, just hop back on. It is never too late to start over.
